Episode Notes:

Regardless of where you are in the world, fear is a huge battle we face.

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” -Teddy Roosevelt

Fear leads to failure. It can lead us to sin as we try to grab ahold of things and control that ultimately belong to God.

The bible says “Do not fear” over 365 times. Over time, it can be easy for us to “talk the talk” of trusting God, without actually living it out. Fear can be crippling.

Jesus himself experienced fear- God in the flesh experienced fear!

Fear is not an emotion, it is a spirit that attacks us.

Luke 22:39-46

We need to follow the example of Jesus, and pray MORE earnestly. Jesus Himself had to pray 3 times to overcome the spirit of fear- how much more should we expect to have to continually take our fears to God.

“God will always meet us where we are at, but He loves us too much to leave us there.”

What we are struggling with is not new. God’s people have always had to battle the spirit of fear.

Fear clouds our eyes from eternity. We need to pray to see things from God’s perspective.
